HOW?

WHEN?

The South East American Indian Council, Inc, Florida Chapter has just launched its membership drive. We will continue our Charter Year until January 2013. Anyone who joins prior to February 1, 2013 will be considered as a Charter Member.

WHAT?

The South East American Indian Council, Inc. Florida Chapter provides information and assessment to American Indian people throughout the State of Florida on issues of Cancer and other health issues which affect our people. In addition to the primary task of providing awareness and education on cancer and other health issues the Council seeks to represent those in the state that have not have a central voice .

WHY?

The South East American Indian Council, Inc. Florida Chapter understands that the vast majority of American Indians that live within the State of Florida do not have a voice and therefore are not heard on issues that affect their lives as the original Americans. Over 90% of the American Indians who live in the State of Florida are not part of a federal recognized tribe and therefore receive almost no assistance.

WHERE?

The South East American Indian Council, Inc. Florida Chapter seeks to network with all tribes, clans and American Indian communities throughout the State of Florida with or without federal recognition. We have designed a Community Health Educator [CHE] program and seek to have a volunteer from each tribe, clan or American Indian group be trained by our SEACI CHE provider.
